Unfortunate but true....by StOlafPhotographerComment: Poor composition, unflattering lighting, unappealing hairs and lint on the felt background. The concept is novel, though unlikely to play well on DPC. From a technical point of view, the shot doesn't stand a chance. |

Dharana by PedroComment: Still kills me this lost the blue ribbon to a bug shot. One of the best shots on the site, and every bit as engaging a year later. |

XXIVby bucketComment: This beautiful portrait is marred by what appears to be some poor masking showing up as a halo around her upper back. That is really, really a drag because otherwise this is simply stunning. Lighting is super, the model delivered an enticing pose and expression, and the blowing wisp of hair is the icing on the cake. |

low handrailby MephistoComment: At first I thought the triptych just spoiled three cool images, but the more I look at it the more I get into it. Great subjects for some wide angle fun. |

25 - Untitledby BudComment: A lot to get into here between the tones and the detailed textures. Only thing that sort of blows it for me is the empty space on the left which does nothing, versus the right edge of the frame which holds some interesting stuff which is jammed right up to the edge and partially cropped off. Wish the chain and lock got more room to show off. |

Joyceby LevTComment: Great lighting on the model and she looks superb in b/w. Could live without the right half of the image, it pales in comparison. |
