Bonsai Treeby mkramarcComment: Overwhelming amount of white background does nothing to enhance this photo, it just minimizes your subject for no good reason. Subject itself is off kilter. Might also work better cropped much tighter so the tree fills the frame and cropped so that the tree's pot is not visible (or much less prominent). Good luck. |

Reach for the Sky(ler)by freakin_hilariousComment: Backlighting is very nice here and your exposure is dead on. The title is pretty lame and ruins an otherwise nice mood this photo creates in the mind. Unique composition. Good luck. |

Le Voyeurby RebeccaComment: Very creative! Something is amiss here though. I cant tell if things are slightly out of focus on the tree or if the colors have been messed with in a bad way, but something is not very appealing. |

The lonely Bushby GunnsiComment: Begging for dnmc votes by calling it a bush? Is it a bush? Is a bush a tree? Oh, the philosophical quandries of voting on dpc. |

Once was a treeby h2Comment: This tree offered you the absolute perfect opportunity to frame that windmill between those curved branches. Looks like you just had to take two steps to the right to do it. Close your eyes and picture me kicking you for missing the chance. Other than that, nice colors. Lighting is a bit harsh. That field probably glows at sunset. Tree itself has an interesting shape, but not a whole lot else going on. Close your eyes, here it comes again... |

Desperation by StructorComment: Excellent. Love the darkness this photo presents both in theme and tonality. Good composition, and very original. Hope it scores well. |

Lifeless Oakby Ian-AndrewComment: Nice shadows. Good choice for BW processing. Like the composition and the subject itself offers a lot of interesting shapes to move the eye around. Good work and good luck. |

Life on Marsby marboComment: Good to know there will be some trees to look at in Hell. Boring composition here and the IR thing has reached gimmick status for sure. If there's more to IR than just presenting radical colors, I would love to see it. I wish there were more merits to this photo to speak to. As it is it is one tree, dead center, nothing else of interest besides the colored sky. Hopefully you find the comment helpful. It's not meant to be harsh, but IR should not be the sole point of the photograph. It should enhance an already interesting shot. Good luck, I'm sure it will score well. |

On the Flip-Sideby ShermyComment: Hey, your horizon isn't straight. Heheheh. Nice colors, not sure if the angle adds anything to the shot. Might be more dramatic/appealing were the tree lined up on the corner to corner diagonal axis here. But, it certainly gets a nod for creativity. |

-^-by ralphComment: Hmm, fisheye. Sort of cool how the tree is vertical, but then again sort of gimmicky. Do like how you handled the sun here and very good exposure, keeping the tree from goign completely silhouette. Good luck. |
