family3.jpgby electrolostComment: This is some radical processing and I can see from the comments below it's a love it/hate it sort of thing. I find myself in the latter camp. At the same time, I hope the subject matter here gets recycled into some future shots because those gas maks present both interesting shapes to the eye as well as a lot of emotional/psychological aspects to the mind. |

Day-3by SandyPComment: Ahh, a fellow simian... Nice composition and I like the bokeh behind him/it. Can you post your shot details (lens, shutter, aperture, etc)? I always find those helpful.
Like the detail on his little chunk of log too. Nice work. |

As it is my eye keeps getting pulled to the bright spot on the fence behind. Other than that, the processing is great, composition is great, placing the pooch in front of the fence was a good choice, etc. Nice stuff. |

Day 2by edmengComment: Very nice. The leading lines created by the building are reflected in the placement of the three stones on the lawn. I also like the big stone in the foreground and that's something I have been trying to force myself to incporate in my shots (prominent foreground features). It's a tad sharp for my taste, evidenced by some jaggies showing up on the roofline, but a little fading in select spots would tone that down a bit. Overall, very nice work. |

Day 3by TDCollinsComment: Actually something this heavily edited, especially heavily dodged and burned, would probably do well in a challenge...
I like this shot. The geometric shapes it presents appeal to me. I think a tighter crop (even a square crop) might work a little better, especially considering you burned off the top third of the shot anyway. Nice leading lines to draw the eye through the structure and some nice detail on the structure itself.
Nice shot. |

Day 3 - Weddingby bdennyComment: Nice initimate capture. I agree there might have been a better vantage point to shoot from, both more flattering to the subjects as well as less hindred by the lighting. White shirts under a daytime sky are trouble. Might have had better luck shooting from in front of them. Still, overall a very nice shot. |

Tina'sby RetroesqueComment: Interesting. There's about 5 photos worth of material contained in this one shot lol.
I like the processing and the scene was well suited for it. However there's so much going on, it's hard to get myself hooked into any particular thing presented here. I'd agree with some comments below about trying alternative crops to try and give the eye a more limited menu of things to dine on. To me, the most unique thing shown here is a woman doing hair in some pretty radical looking boots and her client sitting there in gym shoes. Don't know why, but the contrast there jumps out at me right away and I'd like a photo that just shows me those two without everything else around them.
But hey, opinions are like... |

Dreby walrus451Comment: Nice processing. Reminds me of a 40's/50's movie star glamour shot. Perfect amount of sharpening. |
