The Art of Rhythmby jasonlpriceComment: I love the violin, and I tend to be drawn to pictures of it as well. Unfortunately I don't find that its shape lends itself to the challenge as there aren't very strong, repeating patterns inherent in it. |

Curvy Keyboardby levyj413Comment: Not very attractive lighting, and my archnemesis "the jaggies" seems to be wreaking havoc with your diagonal lines. |

Natures Rhythmby bleuComment: An interesting experiment, but not one that is working for me. |

Relax: Take it easyby CutterComment: I wish the back wall were in focus as I think it would take a very mundane rhythm (horizontal rectangles) and add just the right splash of jazz to it (vertical shapes, repeating arches, irregular sized blocks). I do like the play of light and shadow behind the main subject. |

Thousands of Beating Wingsby SouthCoastOr3gonComment: Something is odd about this shot. I can't tell if its some processing applied to the birds, or if the scale of the birds compared to the background is what is throwing me - but the birds look as if they were pasted onto the scene. It's a very disconcerting effect. Look forward to reading your notes after the challenge. |

rhythm of light by rozComment: This is a beautiful abstract. A subtle rhythmic pattern that engages me but remains difficult to define. Great job. |

Rhythm of the Waterby imagesbytlpComment: Nice patterns in the shell, but your title is presenting this as a study of the water itself. The water is almost invisible it is so insignifigant in the shot. At the same time, the interesting patterns in the shell are not taken advantage of in any way which allows them to define the photo. I feel like there are two thoughts here, neither of which is strong enough to pull me in but either of which might do so if presented differently. |

Yachts of funby RasaiComment: The sky is such a distraction here that it overwhelms any paterns/rhythms offered by the masts. |

Into The Caveby GolferDDSComment: An interesting effect. Unfortunately I don't find anything here serving as a strong subject, nor is it chaotic enough to grab me as an abstract. |

Chromicrhythmby xtianComment: I don't get a real sense of rhythm from this shot, but then again I do get a sense of atonal melody. There's no well defined paattern, but there are many contrasts in shape and color which do have a (somewhat jarring) effect. |
