High Riseby wlevyComment: Was this meant for the stones challenge? I don't see what this has to do with triumph/success. |

Willby gocComment: Would be nice if the swimmer were more prominent in the shot while at the same time maintaining the vastness of the body of water. This is another shot where I think the connection to the challenge is pretty nebulous. If the swimmer were coming up on the shore or if the shot showed some sort of victory or triumph I think it would be nicer. Will does not equal triumph. Plenty of people have lots of will and still fail in the end. |

Ever Upwardby edpeace52Comment: Very slick shot. Probably could have found some way to shoehorn it into the stones challenge rather than waste it by going the dnmc route in a challenge demanding shots depicting triumph or success. |

Kaaba in Meccaby bongeeComment: What's the triumph? Not getting robbed on the way or not getting trampled while walking in circles? Assuming this actually meets the challenge in some culturally specific way that I neither understand nor care about, the shot itself could use some work. The vignetting is over the top (and I didn't even think legal in basic) and the blow out spot lights really dominate the shot, pulling the eye away from the interesting bits down below. |

Veni, vidi, viciby parallaxComment: Nice entry that meets the challenge. Could use a bit more contrast, or at least some black point within the shot. I think that would increase the definition of the etching on those medals. |

A "Wii" ACEby QuigleyComment: Meets the challenge. I have no doubt you can take more interesting images. |

life cycleby shaundpComment: Probably would have been more challenge related had he actually nailed all the hoops, but I guess 3/4's a victory is better than sitting on the sidelines. Crop could use some work and this might not have been the best choice of a shot to go with BW on - lack of separation between a lot of the tones make it hard to distinguish what all is involved here. Caring Trumps Crueltyby BeeCeeComment: This is extremely over sharpened. The blown out area on the birds head also hurts the shot a bit. To be honest (or more honest), I find the mangled beak to be a stomach turning distraction. That's not to say it's a great thing that someone fixed him up, but just me as a viewer - it's almost too much to take and I just want to get past the photo and never see it again. |
