Going Homeby levyj413Comment: Not a bad looking place to have to be when you're not at home! Nice mystery in the darker parts and the overall coloring has a nostalgic quality to it, although I'll admit I would prefer the backpack were not there - too distracting.
And I really like the inclusion of motion blur for the human part of this shot - for me, it emphasizes the ephemeral quality of human life just "passing through" these solid examples of classic architecture. |

Wright Flyer Three-Viewby posthumousComment: I thought "Close Encounters" when I first saw it, the symbols on the left looking like some sort of alien hieroglyphics. Did not know about the Wright Flyer three-view before - I like how you tried to approximate a bird with the three-view and the dramatic sky gives the whole image a portentous quality.
It would be interesting to see another try at this shot without the plane, and with the three views placed randomly across the whole expanse of the sky (well, it might be *visually* interesting, but conceptually not so much - since I guess the inclusion of the plane was necessary for the Wright brothers connection). Nevermind, I'm babbling about possibilities again. :) |

Night Time Strollby jaysonmcComment: I like the refreshing new perspective on the London Eye and the way the trees stand out in such stark silhouettes. I agree with you that your "horizon" might need a ccw correction of a degree or so. |

Biotopiaby MelethiaComment: I like the range of tones here - looks like you had good lighting. I agree cropping out the partial window would be a greater of two evils thing - maybe you could crop pretty severely on the left, to balance it out. |

Union Station Columnsby BillyBeeComment: Like the angling and shapes highlighted here. Might try upping the contrast a bit just to see what happens, would like to see more definition in the ceiling bricks. |

III:XIVby Les_FeckComment: Clever, and took me a couple times viewing before I noticed it was a clock perched there. Still don't know quite what I'm looking at, but the circles, the clock time and the surreality of what appears to be a wall clock hanging in a sewer makes for an intriguing image and creative take on the challenge. Good job! |

Day 8 - Starlightby bdennyComment: The composition has some interest but the lack of a sharp focal point and little detail in the darkest parts of the image prevent me from really engaging with it. The lighting looks like it may have been a bit flat, which probably contributed to the loss of detail in the shadows. |
