Quite sci-fi - I like your idea of having random unprocessed files springing up serendipitously on your monitor. Would like to see the yellow texture stop at the door sill and not come forward of it - to preserve that sense of feeling like you're on the "safe" side, looking over the brink of a new dimension.

This has its charms, though I prefer the color treatment. With this one, the oil overlay makes it looks like processing chemicals on the print plate, gives it a good vintage photo look.

I have a preference for this color version - something about the rich blacks and the contrast of the table legs with the blue of the wall - very tasty. The colors just make all the elements distinct. I love this effect - like you're viewing him through the bottom of a soda bottle. Gives it an indefinable quality -like he's both sharp and soft at the same time.

That soft lace overlay and delicate b&w treatment puts this cute kitten photo over the top. Lovely, could be a calendar shot. You did the right thing to turn to a kitten when stressed :) - we should all have "emergency kittens" in our homes for such times.
