Striking silvery look to his face and features that draw you in - like a great star of silent films. Nice use of the texture, acts as good "back up" in this portrait, doesn't overwhelm, just right.

An Inconsolable Angel

What an emotive sculpture in that grieving angel - texture makes it appear to be snowing, and complements the idea of the cold and bereft. I do wonder though, if the power of this sculpture would be better served with a different composition - I'm not sure what, perhaps a closer view? - with the present composition, it has the expansiveness of a typical landscape image, so my eye travels lightly everywhere in the shot, and I might not have noticed the angel had I not read your photographer comments. Obviously it's there in the title too, but if this shot had no title, would your intent have come across?
