Afternoon Swingby timfythetooComment: Oh, crap, you even make killer shots in blur. :) Nice brightness to it, suits the subject/activity - cheerful. |

Ragged Red (in black and white...)by HarryYComment: Contrast was a lot more apparent in the red version, this definitely has a softer feel, a totally different vibe from the other. A good illustration of how changes in processing can affect the overall feel of a shot. Also looks like you might have a slight hot spot in the center of the lens (actually the kit lens you are using is very hotspot-prone), which wasn't so apparent in the red version.
So I guess I'm going to be completely contrary and say I prefer the version you started with. :) With this as a comparison, I can see now that what I enjoyed in the red version was the more starkly demarcated whites - for instance, the bumper of the van was a nice bright element amongst all that red, whereas here it is dimmed quite a bit.
Let us know in future shots what you are using - filter, converted camera? |

Selfby ShaneBlakeComment: Nice tones - very "quiet" looking IR, not like its more splashy brethren. I like it. |

Ragged Redby HarryYComment: I personally don't care much for the straight-up red look for a finished IR image, especially since to me at least all that color seems to trick my eye into not seeing some of the possibly interesting detail - would be interested to see what a simple b/w conversion would do for this. I do like this composition, though, especially with the graphical impact of the different tones of road/grass curving off to the left and right, and the almost afterthought-like placement of the VW bus.
Also with side challenges, there is no limit on image size, so feel free to go wild and post larger sizes if you want to - I personally like limiting my longest side to 820. |

The Wayby trevytrevComment: Dizzying perspective - I like the stark contrast between the dark steps/light foliage. |

~ Seahorse ~by hihosilverComment: I am shocked to see this score so well, given how blur images typically do, but very very pleased that it did so well for you. Very evocative, and titled to perfection. Congrats, and here's hoping for many more to come! |

On the huntby LalliSigComment: Outstanding! That ceiling pattern adds a very nice graphical element, without being overpowering. |

Jazz trioby ZigomarComment: I like your atypical take on "double take", and you've achieved a nice atmosphere with this offering. |
