Rocket Manby scalvertComment: Wow. What a fantastic shot to have for your family! That's some very good motion panning, Shannon.
Edited to add that the look on his face, combined with the sense of motion and obvious fun it would be to slide like that, combine to make this shot sing for me. Capturing people so wonderfully is one skill I haven't yet acquired. Thanks for sharing this bit of joy with us! Message edited by author 2007-02-19 23:23:04. |

Black-Vultureby JuliBocComment: Wow. Now THAT's some sharp, in-focus detail! With a very nice blurred background that still provides context. Unlike, say, a certain dinner plate shot that shall go unnamed. ;) |

Basket of Nourishmentby griz210Comment: Congrats on your new high score! Just ignore lecter. Still life is still life, and this is a beautifully colorful example.
To increase the score by a bit, there are a few small things you could do: don't crop quite so tightly, really nail the focus, maybe brighten it a bit, and make your background pure black. Oh, and I suppose misting some water onto the fruit wouldn't hurt - that seems to bump scores at DPC.
But those are all small things. |

How Much for the Girl in the Window?by noranekoComment: Wow, that is a powerful shot, Catherine. So much emotion, definitely makes me want to know her story. And the evidence of people outside of the box looking in tells another part of it. Evokes a sense of no one being willing to rescue her from whatever brought her to this cage. |
