I'll pipe in here to say that it looks a bit "overprocessed" to me, too. But as you've already noted, it's your image to process as YOU like it, and you obviously impressed enough people to do very well in the challenge. :) At any rate, that would've been a minor consideration had I voted on it.

Well, I loved it - gave it a 7. Yes, the processing is a little distracting, so it wasn't a 10, but his expression, his pose, and the colors are all great!

Yes, it IS fun! I must say, you're developing quite the interesting treatment. This looks so much like a painting I had to convince myself it's a photograph. Very nice!

This makes me think of a still from a 1920s silent horror movie. The next thing visible will be the thing on the left holding up a cleaver, followed by a white card that says "EEEEEEEK!"

Family Portrait

I wouldn't know this was a portrait without the title. But with it, I feel a sense of loss, like this is a 75-year-old family picture that's been so damaged by time (and maybe water) that we've lost that part of our history.

The blurriness adds intrigue - who is that in the window? I know you said it's a TV, but it still looks like a window to me. Feels like a painting capturing a wisp of history, like the person it depicts is no longer there.
