The Battle of Antietam - Blood Alley 1862by hihosilverComment: Hi Mae. I like the action here. I only have two minor suggestions, and I'm not quite sure they'll improve anything. First, I'd think about cropping off the dead space on the left so the back of the leftmost soldier is next to or on the left edge. That would pull the foreground soldiers out of the middle. Try it and see - it may also be that that space provides a sort of border to the whole shot.
Second, and I see you did a bit of this, try darkening the background even more and also brightening the foreground. I use soft light layers for this kind of thing. The idea is to further separate foreground from background. |

The Chad Morgan Song Book Albumby BrianRComment: Nope, I had no idea who Chad Morgan is, but I just figured he was a singer with bad teeth. And I was right! :) This is a very cute shot, Brian - hold onto it for when you need to keep him in line as a teenager! |

I Bid on Reflectoporn and All I Got was this Haunted Potby colorcarnivalComment: Well, you got a 6 out of me just for his face! :)
I can't believe you linked to the haunted painting. I KNOW the painter! He's married to a colleague of mine, and I spent a pleasant evening in their loft when she hosted the office holiday party. Cool guy. He has a large version of it. |
