Danceby wei1108Comment: Nice lines and composition. I think a slightly tighter crop may have added more impact, but I see what you were going for. |

A Saturday in Springby davidwComment: This is gorgeous and exactly what I think this challenge is all about. The lines, composition, and colors are so strong that they carry the photo without the need of a focused subject. I can see how someone could have accidentally "missed" their focus and as a result captured this scene. Very inspirational. |

The Lightby JulietNNComment: I'm not a fan of the lower half inch or so. I think it would pull you in better with the darkness cropped off. The light is awesome in there. |

Misty Morning Catchby jasonlpriceComment: How long did you stalk these fishermen?? The lighting and background is killer, and it's a great touch to actually have the fish in there. |

A Delicate Balance by njsabsComment: I don't normally add ribbons to my favorites anymore, because I generally think they're pretty bleh. This one though is incredible. There's not a single thing I can come up with that I would suggest to improve it. The pose is brilliantly unique, the facial expression is perfect, and the lighting is very fitting. The slight blur of the hand bugged me for half a second, and then I realized that's part of the reason I like the photo so much. It almost makes it appear like she's levitating even though she's clearly touching the ground. I can't explain it, but I love it. |

Cruisin' the Reefby yakatmeComment: The hand dragging in the water strikes some emotional chord in me though I've never wind surfed. I think it makes a person want to be the wind surfer somehow. Just looks fun!
As for processing, I think you did a great job with that too. Nothing is too bold. |

Le Mont Saint-Michel by gyabanComment: Thanks for using the name as the title, or it would have driven me nuts all week! That's such an incredible structure. Nice tones and use of reflection. |

Dollby fixeComment: It's not something I'm going to buy and put on my wall, but it's definitely a shot worth cherishing. Remember those photos we see of our parents or grandparents? There's something very modern classic about it. Something nostalgic.
I would imagine it has something to do with the beautiful girl's eyes and her doll. Some would say that the lighting could be improved, but the longer I look at the photo the less those technical lighting issues are recognizable. The DOF and composition frames and leads you straight to her gaze. |
