The Summit by MAKComment: In a quick click you've managed to capture a great story.
You did a good job framing the photo's composition, giving them room in the photo to gaze into the distance. Black and white was a good choice. When I first saw this image I got a very classic Ansel Adams feel.
One thing that is really distracting me in the photo is the little weed/tree that's sprouting on the hill. I would have cloned that out. |

Killer Clowns!by squidviciousComment: I find it interesting that some people say the clown should have been under the bed and others like me think he's in a perfect position. In a way it gives us a hint to the nightmares we all had as kids and even now.
Personally I was never scared of anything under my bed, because I had a big waterbed growing up so nothing even could be under my bed. I used to always see stuff just on the edge of my bed though. There was an antique icechest straight down the hall from my bed that I would stare at for hours, unable to sleep, because it looked like a black shadow big monster.
Now that I'm older, when I'm alone in my apartment I'm scared to open my eyes sometimes, because I'm scared someone will be standing at the foot of my bed watching me. To me it's absolutely terrifying knowing that someone or something is watching me when I'm most vulnerable and unaware.
Personally if I were to wake up and see a clown at the foot of my bed I'd probably make a confused face and say outloud "what the hell..." I'd be more afraid of just a guy, unmasked, standing there.

That Recurring Dream...by Alley CatComment: There's a perfect rectangle in the upper left hand corner of the shot around the cloud, and that corner appears to be darker than the rest of the photo. |

Killer Clowns!by squidviciousComment: That is actually quite disturbing. I didn't see the clown at first... and then the Guns and Roses poster.. simply terrifying, heh.
I like the lighting and pose on the clown. Very effective. |

Solo Reshootby Beautiful-JoeComment: I think this is much better than the other. I think the flowers in focus and you out of focus works better. Your pose on this one is better too. More emotion comes through than on the first shot. Your first shot looked more snap-shotty, where as this one looks more intentional. I'm not digging the flannel shirt though, heh.
One question.. why did you shoot it at that location? It strikes me as odd to be in anguish and to plop down in a park/cemetary road. I can see maybe along the road with the road in the shot, but in the road seems odd. |

Cracked & Peeledby RistyzComment: I think this was way underrated. It's a good solid shot that fit the challenge very well. |

Evaporationby AgaerisComment: The composition on this was excellent. Sorry it didn't do well with the voters. You were my #3. |
