My entry has the same problem, and I tried to convince myself that it's a "textures" challenge, and that the hard light accentuated the purpose of my photo. I'm not so convinced anymore, heh.
The colors of yours are pretty sweet, and your focus is spot on. |

After staring at the photo, I think I'm looking at a cat? Sorry, but I don't think this photo holds its own without a real focal point or a strong structural presence of some sort.
