Hi Katie!

OK, here's your unofficial critique on your daisy shot. *cracking knuckles* :-)

Tecnhically, in terms of composition, there is nothing wrong with it. Rule of thirds, nice dof to let the flowers face-on to the camera pop especially as most of the others have lost their petals already. That unforgiving 9 am light hasn't killed the colours too much and I like the backlit effect you did manage to get.

Artistically, though, as another commenter noted, it's very tough to stand out in a challenge like this with so many flower shots! Daisies, black-eyed susans, sunflowers and the like are just too easy to find and shoot. It's a pleasant enough shot but just doesn't have the crucial WOW factor that tends to be favoured here (or the heavy-handed saturation). It's just too easy to anticipate a shot like this, in a challenge like this.

Hope this helps, I know you're a killer photog at what you like to shoot! FWIW if one were handy, I might have tried to shoehorn in a palomino ;-)

Ah Christophe, is there no stopping you? I sure hope not! The whimsy and fun you have with your ideas, and your beautifully simple setups, are just what this site needs to see more of. Huge congratulations!

Great work as always, Christophe! Love your setups, especially how you put the ocean to work rusting up the bars :-)

Harris Hawk? I've seen one flown in raptor shows. Perhaps a teeny bit oversharpened but otherwise good capture.
