OK, here's your unofficial critique on your daisy shot. *cracking knuckles* :-)
Tecnhically, in terms of composition, there is nothing wrong with it. Rule of thirds, nice dof to let the flowers face-on to the camera pop especially as most of the others have lost their petals already. That unforgiving 9 am light hasn't killed the colours too much and I like the backlit effect you did manage to get.
Artistically, though, as another commenter noted, it's very tough to stand out in a challenge like this with so many flower shots! Daisies, black-eyed susans, sunflowers and the like are just too easy to find and shoot. It's a pleasant enough shot but just doesn't have the crucial WOW factor that tends to be favoured here (or the heavy-handed saturation). It's just too easy to anticipate a shot like this, in a challenge like this.
