This is a beautiful picture, however I get the feeling I'm missing some of the color depth - I'm NO expert, don't really know what I'm doing, but I have seen some examples of using polarized lenses - seem to make a world of difference in popping the sky and details out with their colors! Just a thought.

I wish this was a little more in focus - ie, what is that on the shoulder of the road? Looks like ridges made with a rake? or is it concrete?

Thank you for all of the nice compliments and constructive remarks. This plant has a very long curving stem and so I tucked the flower up into this ivy to hold it still so I could take its picture - wasn't comfortable blurring the background, didn't want to get disqualified. Thanks again for the comments. Since this was my first entry, I have a little more idea of what to look for next time.
