I think a tighter crop on the sign and just a few flowers would keep this from being so busy. Everything to the left of the sign is unneccessary and doesn't add to the photo. Also, I think your white balance might be incorrect for the lighting.

Violin is my instrumnet so I appreciate this photo a lot. I like the light in this. It seems very transluscent and at the samae time bathes her in warmth. Her skin tones match those of her instrument very nicely. And, the background is almost, but not quite pitch black with just a hint of brown. Very nicely composed and executed.

This is exactly what came to mind for me. Also, I can't quite figure out what the white angular spots in the forground are.Was that an effect of holding the lenses together for the exposure?

Now that I've gone back and looked at the thumbnail I realize those are reflections.
