I don't post many pictures on the site, but the 2 tomato ones are here as a result of a thread which asked for examples of pics that we would not enter for a challenge because we know that they would not be well received by DP viewers.
As I don't have a macro lens I held my 18-15mm lens in reverse against the camera body for this (that's why there's no aperture shown and I just had to move back and forth till it was in focus). This was going to be for the Macro challenge in Sep 06, but I decided it looked too yuk so never submitted it. To me it looks like rotten teeth in a very gummy drooly mouth! Let me know what you think!

This is exactly what came to mind for me. Also, I can't quite figure out what the white angular spots in the forground are.Was that an effect of holding the lenses together for the exposure?

Now that I've gone back and looked at the thumbnail I realize those are reflections.

Hehe yeah, I think it looks pretty gross also. But I have this thing about seeds... I don't think it's particularly a problem with the photo (I didn't see the "rotten teeth" connection until reading your comment). I think that aside from the bit of "ew" it's a good macro shot. The focus seems a bit off in places and the reflections are a tad distracting but overall I think it combines to make something that is (or would be if I didn't hate seeds) pretty nice.
