I don't know why I like this, mabe it's the bright color, the diagonal lines, the lighting, or the story. Sorry, something is compelling me to ten but there is no way I can justify that.

So, what ever happened to Mathew Bradly? Nice play on early photography. I would have expected a Sepia tint though. You could have used this in the 'From the Ground Up' challenge and "Kill two bird(ie)s with one stone". ;<)

What child can resist a peek at the seeker? My eye is pulled directly to the child's face, good use of two/thirds.

I like the crispness of this image. The game piece in the forground is distracting to me and out of focus, lose it. Shift the remaining composition so that the figure is at the lower rght third to draw the viewer's attention to the story you are telling.

Nice use of motion blur, but what's the game? Use some of that black space to tell me about the game.

I like the use of back lighting and uncluttered background to tell the story. FWIW I would crop with some moor sky on the right so the batter isn't looking directly out of the frame.

A midnight Summer in Alaska? I like the use of the sunset as back lighting to hide distracting detail.
