Good composition and lighting for a night shot. There is a lense flare under the moon which is a little bothersome. Also I wouldn't have placed the moon exactly in the middle but more to the left side or right side using the rule of thirds.

Pinks, greens, and a splash of blue

Hi. Flowers always make for good photos and in my opinion is a subject that will always score higher than usual if done well, so you were on the right track choosing a flower as your color entry subject. And you have done it well!

Using the sky as a background was a good choice, and as I mentioned in my comment below, the background highlights the red of the rose more intensely. You mention that the rose is pink in your title and description, however I don't see any pink in it, it is red to me, but that might also be my monitor.

Everything is sharp and fully in focus, I don't think blurring the background would have made much of a difference. However, as was commented below, I think some water drops on the flower and leaves might have given this image a little more impact.

All in all, a very good pic with strong and vivid colors, congratulations.
