Watercolorby wdebeau1Comment: You're right it looks a lot like a watercolor. Those reds are very firey, well done. |

Fire and Iceby mjf999Comment: Interesting! It looks like a night shot but the sun is there. Good illusion! The composition is great. |

waveby coolpixComment: Cool texture! The frost adds a lot to the effect. Not too keen on the border though, the color clashes with your image. |

Sad angelby websterComment: An interesting shape you have there. You've depicted winter weather well (don't worry Spring will come to you soon). I think you shouldn't have centered everything so exactly though but composed the image more using the rule of thirds. |

Clouds over Rainierby SwashbucklerComment: Wow wild weather!!! I like the layering you have composed, although I would prefer to have seen less darkness at the bottom and more sky at the top. |

Going In From The Coldby CLarson557Comment: This would also be good for the fauna challenge this week. I like the natural framing you've created with the trees. |

The Colors of Lightby kellymcgComment: Critique Club:
Hi Kelly. Congratulations on an excellent image. 21st place from 295 entries is something to be proud of. This is a good find and subject for the challenge, you got very lucky here. The colors are amazing. I was wondering what it was, I though maybe a motel or something. I would never have guessed a cinema.
The reflections off the glass give your pic that extra impact, added to the vivid colors in the windows. I tried to find your reflection in the window but couldn't :-) The focus is bang on bringing out the detail much more.
What bothers me a little is the sky up the top right, it is a little too bright in comparison to the rest of the pic. I get the feeling this is an evening shot but the sky is contradicting that feeling. As was already mentioned in one of the comments below I would have waited a little longer until it was later to get a darker sky in. Also the colors would have been highlighted even more.
Also going from a dark photo to a completely white border distracts a little, I would have prefered to have seen either no border at all, or else a darker one.
All in all a very good image and after looking at your past results your best so far. Well done.
