Glass Artby linashlee2Comment: By the look for the buildings in the background I guess this is a church window right? Good example for the glass challenge, everything is in focus. Good luck. |

Crystal Eye-ballby kcwhisper379Comment: This is very abstract for sure. The blue and purple work well together. How did you manage to achieve a dead white background like that? |

Crystal Ballby PhoyoComment: I was wondering if anyone else would do a crystal ball shot, I did one too :-) The refraction works well. I would rather have seen the crystal ball and it's details sharp and the background blurred out though. |

Mr. Swineys life in a bowlby boyte1Comment: Awesome detail in the fish and the texture of the glass in the background is cool. The front glass is dirty though, was there no way of cleaning it up a little first? |

Traveling by boatby xertionComment: Critique Club:
EJ, I think the random photo disher outer likes giving me your pics to critique :-) So here goes number three from me.
The first thought that hit me when I looked at this pic is the serenity of the scene. The water is dead flat, no one to be seen anywhere and the sunrise going through its phases in the background.
Contrary to what you wrote in your description I think the sunrise is awesome enough. I think more clouds would only have darkened the image too much and dampened the effect you have captured here. The photo is on the darker side, especially where the boat is concerned but I don't find this a negative point.
It does seem a little tight to me though. I am not sure you had the possibility but I would have tried stepping back a few steps to get more of the boat into the image. You could have also done this by using a landscape format, although I don't think you would have captured the total impact of sky and water with the same effect as you have here.
Congratualtions on another fine photo and am looking forward to seeing (and critiquing) more of your work.

Floating Glass Ballsby ReneeComment: Very colorful and glassy :-) The refraction in the lower part of the glass creates a nice effect. I'm not too sure about the background you chose tho. |

Sticky Fingersby connieComment: This is a very good image. There are so many wonderful glass shots this week that it is difficult to find a real favourite, but this one is definitely in the running. |

"COLBALT"by Denise CataniaComment: Very abstract! The textures are what really make this photo work. I like the many different tones of blue throughout the image. |

Unitedby MusicmanComment: How did you get those glasses to balance like that? Did you put something under the bottoms to support them? What a good idea I like it, if only it were a little sharper it would be a top shot. |
