In the cornerby kinksComment: The blue tone you chose really increases the "alone" feeling, I like this one. |

Fading Memory of Summerby OneSweetSinComment: Hey Anna, welcome to my once a month critique for the critique club. For some reason I always end up with your photos to critique :-)
The flower you chose for your subject is very interesting. We are so used to seeing perfectly fresh looking flower macros here, it isn't often you get to see a flower which is heading away from it's glamour phase. But why not? Where does it say in any rules that we always need flowers in full bloom?
The colors and tones are very pleasant to look at, the shallow DOF enhances the structure of your flower. The focus is good although it comes over a little on the soft side, probably resulting from a slight camera shake is my guess. Did you shoot this free hand or did you use a tripod?
The cropped out part of the flower on the left side of the image is something I would have changed however, it is quite noticeable and takes away from the quality of the photo.
Any help?

Come...by sahkoComment: Wonderful image, this is my wife's favourite one :-) It's way up there on the top of my list too. This kind of reminds me of the Michelangelo ceiling fresco in the Sisteen Chapel. |

within the shadow of selfby grigrigirlComment: Very effective the way your subject molds into the background shadows. The graininess is fitting as is the tight crop, although I am sure you'll get comments saying it is too tighly cropped. A slight glare next to the thumbnail would be the only small point I would pick on here, otherwise a pic to be proud of. |

Pear and shadowby alexbolComment: Nice and simple, the shadow well placed extending out like that, also the slight shadow just behind the stem works in well. Only a very slight glare on the pear itself is distracting, but like I said, only very minimal. |

KOKOPELLI <Flute Player>by justineComment: Ah the mischievous minstrel! Very good capture, you really have to look hard to separate the figure from the shadow. |

Day Dreamingby kosmikkreeperComment: Love it! It looks a little familiar to me, and I'm sure I've seen this guy before somewhere, right? The blue tone is also familiar. This is one of my favourites in this challenge, you caught an emotion on the guy's face which tells me immediately what he is thinking. Very original and very well composed. |
