Wish You Were Hereby xtineComment: tecnically the photo looks fine, nice b&w conversion with a good range in tones, I can't tell if the building is slanted or picture is, the roof tends to drop to the R. compositionally i see the relationship to the title and "postcards" but other than the girl there isn't much of interest. the building itself is very static with hard horizontal and vertical lines that may have been better if you'd tilted the camera to give a diagonal to them, another approach may have been to blur the girls motion to imply "lets get outta here" or something similar. hope this does well, you've got some nice ideas hear and good vision to see the opportunities too

Hoovesby JutildaComment: great idea Judy, very creative and interesting, perfect for b&w. to improve i'd look to some what to reduce the dead space mid ground and to the R and also add some depth to the walkers foreground R and L - perhaps a bit lower pov, although then the might really take off :)

Fly on a leafby SoulMan1978Comment: interesting capture, from a technical standpoint, the photo appears a bit lacking in contrast and may have a bit of color cast. compositionally the main subject is centrally located which I think is ok with the fairly dynamic leaf pattern around the beast. since color doesn't add much here a b&w version may be worth a shot, finally the background, while a bit blurry still has quite a few areas of brightness or high contrast which detract from the main subject
all jmo of course, i'll be honest, Im not to big on bug and flower pictures :)

Water vs. Fireby njsabsComment: technically fine, although not great, I think due in part to the lighting. compositionally I would prefer H20's eyes open, there's just not much dynamism happening here which should not be the case with water and fire meeting

Tranquilby sudhiComment: a bit too dark and static, even though it has some nice colors

Waves breakingby wisieComment: the overall picture looks like it is lacking in contrast. the tree at the top could probably be cropped with out losing any of your main subject and wouldn't leave it half in and half out. i like the nice curve of the shore and the repeating lines in the water. appears to be a bit of dust in the R lower corner

A liquid lunchby ChinarosepetalComment: really nice sharp macro, I find the vertical orientation results in some effect lost, it may have been better to orient this horizontally
