What a happy looking dog...great capture of that smile! My only suggestion would be to be sure that the eyes are in focus. In this shot the nose is better focused than they eyes which I think takes away from the image overall. Hope that helps.

Ha! What a cutie! I like that his (her?) eye is in focus, but do find that too much of the nose is OOF. While I can appreciate that getting everything in focus that close up is challenging, I think it would have made for a better shot.

Nicely composed. I wish the cats face were in focus though...the eyes just don't jump out at me because they are not sharp enough. The focus seems to be on the cats shoulder?

Pretty cat, reminds me of one of my girls. I like what you were trying to accomplish with the lighting although it might be a tad too bright on the left side. The shot is out of focus too much, which is a huge pet peeve of mine. The eye is almost in focus and the rest is totally out of focus. I would have preferred a very sharp eye and focused face.....but that's just me! Good luck in the challenge.
