A divine delight by HighNoonerComment: The light and the splashes puts this image in the category of the divine shots. Technically you did a great job with the foreground and background light while the composition was already there just waiting for you to shoot your camera. The natural triangular frame does a great job pushing our attention to the main scene and subtracting any distracting element that could weak the image. The word that I usually use to describe pictures like this, is "perfect". Congrats for this stunning image. |

angelby jmritzComment: Every image you add to this collection works like another brick building a monument. You should take this series to a level of a collection with high consistency and a clear objective. This really works very well and it deserves all of your efforts. |

Every Picture Tells a Story by SandyPComment: Sandy,
You should pay more attention every time you see a woman smoking a cigarette. These subjects and your camera are an explosive formula for composing a master piece. I still keep visiting this shoot after all this time with the same pleasure as the first time.

dead tilapiaby yankoComment: Disturbing image. The DOF was a good choice for attenuating the harsh feeling this picture could show. All around is ugly but very well composed. Even the colors was a good choice. |

Safe Anchorageby FalcComment: Great composition, Keith. Like one of these classical paintings. The harmony between all the elements is magical. Even the soft focus is working very well for the mood around. I only found the rope coming from right against the flow of the picture. But that doesn̢۪t take any merit to this fine work. |

swooshby whiteroomComment: This is a great example why the rules of thirsts works like magic appealing to the eyes. Everything is in the right place matching perfectly that organization. Even the main focus point (top right thirsts intersection) has a starting trail to the main subject giving much more dynamic to the composition. Colour is perfectly combined. The brown and green against a clear/whitish blue creates a natural feeling usually seen in nature landscapes. So, first approach to this image is pleasant. The viewer just needs to stay in front of it and let his imagination, as desired, build the rest. Great Composition! |

M A S K E Dby Art RoflmaoComment: i think you lost a great opportunity of keeping this idea waiting for a challenge. Just delete it. It's still time for you to save it. Message edited by author 2007-08-12 00:15:51. |

lensbaby watercolorsby krnodilComment: My first thoughts was: -"If this was a DPC challenge you'll get a 4 score with this". But it isn't and I think you did a good job playing with the colors. Maybe I would touch the contrast (curves), bringing more dark parts to the pic and that yellow is asking for company from (some more) green in the leafs. Anyway, one of the most effective effects with lensbaby is having a blurry vignette coming from the margins of the pic till a sharp point giving all the way the viewer needs for putting his attention in the main element of the composition. You haven't done this here and I think you loose some points in your composition just because of that. A main subject will fit great surrounded by these beautiful colors. |
