Reflectionsby karmatComment: I think you went with the right crop and the colors are lovely - especially that clean blue sky reflection. I also really like the reflection of the tree trunks. |

The Gunpowder Plot gets 30secs of gloryby rinacComment: Oooo ahhhh. I loved this image during the challenge and am surprised it didn't receive a 6 score. I find the variety of colors - especially on the right - and the confetti sprinkling of white lights on the left particularly attractive. Very well done. |

Gold Silverwareby jfwolpertComment: Very well composed and a good idea. I have some goldware too and have tried to capture shots with them - very tricky - they reflect so much light (or anything else within 150 feet!!). Overall nicely done. |

Rio Grandeby jfwolpertComment: Fine complimentary colors here. Cool perspective on the train. The sky has such a lovely blue that my eyes would like to see a bit more of it in the pick. Looks like you had challenging lighting conditions that left you a little bit of bright blow-out and then shadows on the front of the train. IMO a little tighter focus and maybe a little more crop off the bottom might have improved the shot a bit. |

Survived the First Snowby jfwolpertComment: The background on this image rocks! I love the color and bokeh - very nice! I might have tried using selective colors to bring out the whites in the back even more (who knows) - but it's awesome! I think the poor score has nothing to do with the fine bokeh you captured but rather with the flower in the foreground. As others have said, it is a bit washed out and could benefit from a tighter focus. I think you could crop 1.5 to 2 inches off the right and make the flower seem more a part of the image too. The color of the flower is beautiful against the gorgeous greens of the back. |

Before the Gameby jfwolpertComment: Captured at the perfect moment! I imagine you didn't have the luxury of 10-takes on this one! Cool sky - I might have brightened it up a bit and made it even more contrasty & cloned out the sensor dust. I'm afraid I have to agree with those who don't like the sign in the shot - the composition would be more pleasing IMO croped so that the crowd was leveled up along the bottom and the sign was gone. Too bad a photo doesn't allow you to hear the incredible sound of these jets! |
