Yes, but not too different (well, a little different!) than folks heading out in the pre-dawn hours for great landscape light, or wandering the streets, sitting and waiting, etc. In fact, my non-photography friends would express the same point as you when asking me about long exposures and having "nothing to do" for 15 minutes or so.
Whatever stimulates his mind for photography is fine by me. No comment on the score tracking! ;) |
