Came back and bumped this up to a "9". Great composition. Amazing exposure of the white feathers in the sunlight. A superb natural environment. The bird is in action with movement captured crisply. Just overall a very fine wildlife/nature image. Great work!

I found this to be a compelling image. Excellent wildlife in its ocean environment. I also appreciate the composition and use of negative space to throw attention on the subject. (Could have been just a little more space on the right margin to allow more room to move.) My hope for you is that this image receives the votes it deserves. It's first rate! (9)

Little Big Horn

I came very close to entering a nearly identical bh lamb image on the rock faces of the Big Thompson Canyon. (but, chose a different species at the last moment) Nice capture of the action. The painterly effect is something of a distraction, but that's just me. The animal in its environment is very realistic to me, as I see this scene very often. I hope to see this as a ribbon winner. (9)
