Sonoita, Arizonaby giosv5Comment: Gorgeous landscape. Great sky. Well processed. I scored it well. As an aside, AA would not have included the barbed wire fence in his scene. Fencing off the ranges was and still is controversial. Anathema to the protectors of the wilderness at the time. I didn't mark down your score for the inclusion of the fence. |

I Always Knew It Would Come To Thisby rooumComment: Excellent image. I scored it well. However, the manmade stuff here is one of the things AA used his environmental photograph to campaign against. I didn't mark down your score because of it, but it's one of the things which would be highly offensive to AA during the time of his landscape work. |

... is a snowy Bear !by DrakeComment: Wow, I'm impressed. Our bears are hibernating now. Don't know where in the northern hemisphere I'd find a bear awake and walking around. |

Silkyby MotekComment: This image created a dilemma for me. I hate the dodged sky. I do not like the black band top and bottom. But, I love the subject and the sand dune. Oh, if only you had made a few better presentation choices. (9) |

On the beachby IreneMComment: Love the shell smoothness and the sand granularity in this. Good choice for b&w presentation. I hate the frame, but only counted off 1 point for your choice to reduce the viewable size of the image. (9) |

Gold Sand.by remboComment: Very, very good. You have a great eye. The direct sun reflection will always blow out the highlights. The golden sand with the darkgrayblue water bands is exquisite. (9) |

My eye in the sandby bob_bobskiComment: The symmetrical composition is perfect for this subject. This is really a brilliant capture of the action. One of the few, if possibly the only, image with sand in motion. (I didn't count the hour glass images.) My favorite in this challenge, which included some outstanding images. Hope to see this ribbon! (10) |

Beach Discoveryby kellyoComment: Just technically superior to most. This is a great photo. A great closeup, as I see details I wouldn't see with the naked eye. Amazing and wonderful narrow DOF. (10) |
