When I'm Cleaning Windowsby bobccComment: Really a great scene, well rendered. Forgive me for saying so, but my opinion is the person is a distraction. I understand why you included the person. But, it really catches my eye and prevents me (initially) from inspecting the great lines and shapes. 7 |

The view from Half Mountain summitby DennisheckmanComment: Nicely done! My top vote of 10. Clearly a high dynamic range to the scene, managed with great skill. Love the area. That is Glacier Gorge topping off at Longs Peak, Pagoda Mountain and McHenry's Peak. I especially like the Shark's tooth. |

Momma Feeds 2by hahn23Comment: Originally posted by Revecca: Wish momma's head wasn't cropped off. |
Under the lampshade of an outdoor fixture. The momma hb chose the spot because it was protected from weather and predators. I, of course, did not crop off her head, but instead cropped the portion of the image which does not include the overhanging shade. It's a photo few people have ever seenĂ¢€Â¦ not only the HB nest but the feeding of the chicks. |

Peace Bridge / Rough Watersby PixlmakerComment: The dynamic range between the shadow detail under the bridge and the sky highlights is large. Postprocessing a single image to show detail throughout will result in the halos...which appear at the edges of dark and light zones.. It's a good candidate for HDR Efex Pro 2. I think you may have improved the three dimensional appearance by including items of interest in the foreground. An aperture of f/18 is mightly tiny pinhole and could be on the edge of bending lightwaves as they enter the lens and reducing clarity and detail sharpness. I wouldn't go much tinier than f/16. Furthermore, f/11 or even f/8 may have given you adequate DOF to encompass your scene. |

On Golden Pondby glad2badadComment: Bright areas represent areas of lost detail due to being blown out glare. Also, detail lost in the shadows, as it is mostly a silhouette. The composition is awkward and leaves the viewer in a quandary as to where to focus attention. I continue to look for something interesting to view in the scene, but come up empty. The score is a gift. I didn't vote in this FS challenge. |

Ability to Focusby hahn23Comment: Originally posted by kiwinick: great shot of a yellow bird I don't see the link to drinking here a bit of a shoe horn |
When one drinks, one's vision becomes blurred and one's ability to focus is impaired. Sharp, in focus photography is "why" I shouldn't drink. If the voters want to see the negative side of every challenge subject, they'll have to rely on others than me. |
