Morning Gloryby GermaineComment: Probably, the shade is too dominant and overwhelming relative to the subject blossom. Since the blossom is somewhat gray, the entire scene seems to be somewhat underexposed. You have presented good detail in the blossom and pistols/stamen. |

Paoli Hillsby giantmikeComment: The sky and wispy clouds could have been enhanced to the advantage of this scene. A bit of detail lost in the deep shade. I really like the rolling hills with nice trees. I sense the scene needs an additonal element of interest. |

No trespassing by Yo_SpiffComment: The sidelighting is okay with me because you've retained most of the detail in the shaded side. The sky beyond is pretty bright, without detail or gradient. Your focus and DOF are good. |

Lakeside Morningby CuttoothComment: Low hanging clouds are tough because they obscure and shade the landscape sometimes. There is some dynamic light bouncing around. In general, the expanse of lake is proportionally too much of the scene. |

white magnoliaby RaeKComment: Good dark bg, which throws attention to the blossom. I like the look under and through to see the flower parts. Seems like some of the highlights may be pure paper white (with loss of detail). It's hard to tell on some petals. |
