workerby mrbig65Comment: Some detail lost in the shadows. The toning is okay, but might distract slightly. The highlights are okay. |

The gatheringby hajekaComment: Some detail lost in the shadows in the rocks behind, but it may not be important. I like the feather detail and feel the highlights on the white feathers are not blown out. |

Wildflowersby jadaigle88Comment: Narrow DOF plane, which is well done. Nicely blurred background bokeh. Good detail. The image is a little flat because there is not a lot of dynamic light. Still, a pleasant image to view. |

Appalachian Stormfrontby klkitchensComment: Good atmospherics. Rain, fog, low clouds tend to produce a lower contrast image. You do have elements in this scene which have good contrast. I think it's a natural looking scene. Could use some additional dynamic light, but it's pretty good, as is. |

Dusky tideby damoninjaComment: I'm not exactly sure, but it appears the scene needs a clockwise rotation to square the horizon. |

Ansel's Cowsby LydiaComment: Great cow herd. I love the clarity and contrast of the lower 40% of the image. Beautiful pastoral scene. I find the clouds overhead to be blurred, with very soft detail. You have a deep DOF encompassing the cow herd. It's almost like the sky doesn't fit the scene. Taht said, I like the tone of the sky. And, the clouds are not overexposed. |

Deadwoodby ThingFishComment: Beautiful sky and clouds. Interesting tree with good detail and exposure. Sort of an exotic (to me) look to the sand and ridge vegetation. Pretty good control of the overall exposure and a good presentation of tonal range. |

Bow River Valleyby Len ScapComment: Very wonderful river "snaking" through this valley. I like the lower portion of this scene the best. The forest has very good detail and you didn't lose detail in that area (or any area). That said, the forest is pretty dark relative to the foreground and sky. The mountains and snow are just fine, but somewhat too center-middle to be harmoniously composed. I assume the sky was overcast with some midlevel cloud detail. That would explain why you left the sky somwhat light gray tone. If the sky had blue, you could have shifted around the tones of this entire landscape (lighter trees, darker sky and more detailed clouds). |

The Bendby LawtonComment: Great river and trees and river bank. I love those parts of the scene. I'm not liking the sky and clouds very much. Not sure what happened, but the end result is strained. The reflection in the river is very pleasant. |

Approaching Stormby Tommy_MacComment: Interesting rolling hills and cemetary with good cloud detail overhead. Very good deep DOF. Some shadow detail lost in the middle ground trees. I think this image looks like a simple monochrome conversion. Might be more dynamic with a channel mixer conversion. You have a lot of middle tone grays and not quite enough rich tonal range. |
