Little Blue Heronby bjoernComment: Love the bird. Super detail in feathers, eye and beak. Something not eye-pleasing about the background. Can't put my finger on it. Just doesn't work well with the spectacular subject. |

twoby mrbig65Comment: Gulls. Not close enough to see detail. An old rule of thumb for nature photography is to use odd numbers of subjects (1,3,5...etc.). Just would be more eye-pleasing. |

Sun Kissed Wingsby CraftyComment: Looks like an Anhinga to me. Can't really tell, but that's what Anhinga's do. The profile (especially the tail) look right for an Anhinga. With the harsh light and high contrast, some detail is lost in the shadows. But, I like the silhouetted profile, even if I'd prefer to see more bird and less water. |

Rock Star by LydiaComment: I'm sure this bird's mother loves that face and food target. Good detail. |

"High in the Sunlit Silence"by JiaBobComment: Black-crowned Night-Heron. Good capture in flight. Love the wing primaries detail....translucent light coming through. Would have liked to see more of the face, especially the eye and beak. But, this is very good photography. 7 |

Birds of a feather...by AbraComment: I don't recognize the birds. It's a unique capture of the overhead flight. The background sky is indigo blue in places and the birds have some bright highlights. I'd love to see more detail in the birds, but I do appreciate the flock in flight |

Feasting in the Sunby BenstedComment: A tropical parrot. This image seems a bit flat and dull to me. Love the colors, but overall underexposed. I think you are trying to show to much in this scene, as the background seems cluttered. I do think the eye and beak of the bird are nicely in focus. |

Competitionby dtremainComment: American Goldfinc, males. They don't pose for long. Very shy, too. I like the colors in this image. |

King of the pondby KfirLevAriComment: A bit dreary for some reason. Too center-middle for me. Tough looking specimen. Needs a more shallow DOF. |
