Outtake: Natsumi Hayashiby mrchhasComment: Good human interest shot. Inspecting the gate, or peering into the property, he looks up to the nefarious. It's certainly the pose and position which create the drama. |

D5_Feb28_DSC5549_2by daisydavidComment: A picture story of the recycling of aged, decaying tree branches. Cyclically important as a newly emerged sprout. A fine nature image. |

Feb 25-March 10by bassboneComment: Wonderful surf. The moment of decision of a breaking wave throwing spray and curling down. The foreground sea foam on top of the ocean being lifted really adds drama and interest for me. The monochrome conversion is very nicely done, as is the control of exposure... no loss of detail in highlights or shadows. |

Day 5by MinsoPhotoComment: Good expression of exhaustion and annoyance. I like the selecive desat or bleach bypass treatment. A bit too center middle for me, but I understand you wanted to show the cluttered room, as if a hoarder. |

Tyndall Gorgeby hahn23Comment: Originally posted by colorcarnival: I would have been a 5 or 6 voter if I had voted in this challenge. On first pass, I don't see the connection to the theme. To me the subjects of the photo are all the beautiful snow-covered trees. After reading your comments, I am searching for the rocks and see what I believe are the items, scattered throughout the scene. The challenge here becomes this: how do you convey familiarity to those not native to the area? It's a beautiful shot, certainly not deserving the low scores, but I think what hurts it in a voting challenge is the lack of a quick link to the theme. |
Yes, I should have shown a pair of scissors on the kitchen table. That would have been true photography. |

Day 4 - Tetrisby tomeComment: Wow! That's a lot of rerod. I like the overhead perspective. It has intricate detail, so you nailed the focus. It's a documentation of an event, which I really like. |

04. Marsdiep (Feb 19)by hajekaComment: Outstanding pano. Military ship? I think it needs another element of interest, or two. But, the exposure is great. I like the composition. |

January 31 Sunriseby cginoComment: Beautiful landscape and sun horizon event. I'd clone out the lens flare distraction. |

Day 4 23.02.2012by salmiakkiComment: Winter can be dark and depressing. This image has a dark mood, which is not a criticism. I like the starkness. |
