Wind Surfing!by EnlightenedComment: Long-tailed Ducks!!!! Clangula hyemalis Really a great shot of this wonderful bird. I've never seen this bird, so I am very jealous. And, you have a flock foraging in the windblown surf with ocean spray across the top of the cresting wave. Amazing. Hope this is appreciated by others as much as I like it. 10 |

Drift Manufacturingby giantmikeComment: Not easy to do. I'd like to have seen more detail in the drift, but the snow is frozen in motion. Good to have the dark trees in the background to accentuate the contrast. |

Windby Rino63Comment: Good b&w conversion. Nice translucent wave frozen in action. The bench and the bricks are my least fav parts of the scene. The wave splash against the stormy sky is my favorite part. |

Snow Squall by ChloeLindsayComment: Meets the challenge. I like the varying lengths of snow flake movement in the foreground. Not sure about the texture in the background. I'm not saying it's not snow. I just don't know I prefer it over a dark bg. |

Just a Breezeby ladyComment: A breeze evident in the flame distortion. Good detail. The reflections at the base of the candles is slightly distracting. Otherwise, meets the challenge well. |

sheltering From the wind by GilesComment: Wonderful flock of sheep . I see the big snowdrift to the left... so in effect the stone fence acts as a snow fence. Powerful winds in evidence. I'd like the image a lot more if the horizon tilt were not a distraction. Still, this tells a magnificent story of domestic animal adversity in winter. 7 |

Twinsby UrfaKComment: Lots of wind evidence in this photo. It's clear from which direction the tropical storms approach. I'm mixed on the benefit of the birds in the scene. They are flying against the wind, so it's okay. |
