House Finchby pnichollsComment: I'm not a bird fan, but it's impressive that you got this tight on the little mutant flying lizard. Slightly soft. Nice bokeh and grain. |

Snail on dead leafby chariotComment: So good, down to the slight spill of light onto the near eyestalk. {gulp} no critique. 10 |

Girl and Black Swanby lisaeComment: Looks a bit low-res. IME, with cameras ~2 megapixels it's best to frame a close as possible to get plenty of pixels on your subject. You could do without the overcast sky and dark grass, and that would free up more range of exposure for the girl (wouldn't she at least give you a profile?), swan, water and rocks. |

Sunday Napby jnunezComment: Certainly the face of slumber. This oof foreground does give the feeling of being right down there with the dog, but I think a tighter crop to eliminate it and minimize the mixed light on the bg would improve the image. |

Reach for the SKYby RonSBComment: Good read on the light here, and good detail (you could probably have stopped down a little more for better focus on the higher branches and leaves). |

Sucha Silly Dogby CreativeFlyPhotoComment: Nice clarity. Are the hairs on the side of his face really that white? A little glaring, IMO. Otherwise, very nice. |

The textures of the yardby jgazetaComment: The vertical composition leaves too much negative space at top, and cuts off the petal at L. If you really wanted to go this orientation, I'd have moved the bloom higher up in the frame. Cool texture in the petals. Near petal goes oof. |

A Walk In The Gardenby bhop73Comment: One of the most difficult subjects is the back of an animal. Just very, very hard to make that interesting, IMO. The overexposure on the cat's back doesn't help matters. Perhaps if it were balanced with some pure black somewhere, but as it is it becomes a white, featureless area in a sea of greys. Did you, by any chance, check out the individual color channels on the original image (if you shot in color)? Maybe there was a more dnamically balanced option there. |

Paparazziby autoolComment: Must be nice to have your own private beach. {g} The fg 'sand' and the figurines aren't a perfect lighting match for the bg, but the overall effect is excellent. High marks for creativity and execution. Top 3, IMO. |

Sweet Caressby neondizastaComment: Great catch of the moment, and pretty good tones. Without the box of wet wipes and oof patch of blanket up front, it'd be perfect. |
