Orange Pepper Insidesby nordicComment: One of the more clever "pepper" photos. I'm not completely nuts about the centered composition, but you get extra points for thinking outside of the box (or inside of the pepper, as it were...) My eyes wish for just a tiny bit more sharpness on those seeds, but I really like the effect of the backlight. |

Craneby scottwilsonComment: The oragami is cute and the exposure and depth of field are very nice, but the background of newspapers doesn't make sense to me. Also, compositionally, the three pieces of folded paper create a horizontal line right across the center of the image, leaving a lot of the actual image space unused. |

A Bird In The Handby hallswelComment: This would be improved if the bird's head were in focus, rather than the glove. Since the glove is orange, you may have wanted it to be the focal point of your picture, specifically, but as a general photographic rule, anything with eyes should normally have the eyes in focus. The viewer's eye is naturally drawn there. |
