Juan Grisby skewsmeComment: I see a Juan Gris self portrait, complete with tuft of hair. Excellent use of the 'Serendipity Preset' on your new camera. |

Thank you for the generous comment, Sofia.
The tree branch is hanging over a greenhouse, the plastic covering is coated with a shading compound. (the drips are paint on the plastic).
I was rushed in PS, so I used the one-click "Monday Morning" filter in Nik Color Efex to blow out the top of the greenhouse and erase the horizon. With more time I would use curve adjustment layers to create a similar effect - ideally keeping more of the vibrant red and focus in the flowers. |

picnic in the wildby tnunComment: Wonderful job of giving the viewer an "observation of the observer" in a setting deserving a Twilight Zone script. "Adam and Eve after The War and Before The Apple" or "Jane Goodall Visits the Inner City".
It's unfortunate these stories, too often, get lost in a free study.
And, the empty bench had to be there. Of course. Everything in this photo had to be there. Message edited by author 2009-08-18 14:14:28. |

Dorothy the Wizardby posthumousComment: b/w must mean we're back in Kansas. Great shot and title. Too bad about the ankles.
Edit to add: I just noticed the head is missing. I suppose, by comparison, the ankles are a minor faux pas. Message edited by author 2009-08-08 12:21:23. |
