I think everyone wants their photos to be appreciated. But, is it enough to have a few great photographers compliment your work or better to have a hundred people with limited photography experience give you that coveteted high DPC vote. Both are rewarding - it is satifying to learn how to play the DPC game, and it is equally, if not more, rewarding to observe how your powers of observation and technical prowness progress as you continue your own personal photo journey.
