I love this rich silver and gold creation - a beautiful combination of metal and water. Your dedication and patience has again been rewarded with a well deserved ribbon, plus, you have added another useful appliance to your kitchen decor. Congratulations Irene!

Excellent composition, whether "candid" or a setup. Interacting tones/light work to give movement to the gazelle and strength to the elephant.

I was going to say that I'm amazed that this didn't win the Posthumous or the OOBIE (or the Metatate)but I guess it was entered before they were given out. This is a very creative shot that slipped through the DPC cracks. Creative shots have a reputation for finding the cracks. Although you did all you could to explain yourself in the title, it seems most people missed the bokeh part. Great shot.

Wonderful use of the lens to create foreground bokeh that imitates the background fog.

I can't look at this and not wonder how, and from what viewpoint, it was photographed; let alone how it was captured, with such a straight horizon and without whitewater in the foreground. Most of the voters missed a once-in-a-lifetime chance to witness something they will never see.
