A good idea, and well composed and exposed. The leading lines create a good visual motion through the whole image. However, the extremely small size and soft focus really let you down here. Perhaps you could read the tutorial for preparing images to enter.

congratulations on your first ribbon. the shot would be much the worse for cloning out the 'plane streak. that adds interest to the composition that would be sorely lacking otherwise. now it's a beautiful shot that grabs our imagination, without, it's just another pretty sunset shot.
