there's just something about the blurry figure going down stairs shots. they work so well. and this is a great example of one. these dark tones are lovely. the echoing bands of light complement each other perfectly.

another wonderful movie and book, and a great evocation of feeling. the echoes of shapes and textures are superb. the known but unseen softness of the sheep and the seen softness of the hair; the solidity of the stone and the visual solidity of the sheep; the repetition of shapes with variation through the whole composition are so effective. the warm white tone makes the whole thing glow. yes, indeedy.
