a interesting idea, but the execution will bring you down. the focus seems to be a little soft, or the resolution a bit low. the composition is good, but the lighting is harsh - too bright onthe manequin head, and muddy on the flower.

a good idea, that needs more work. keep shooting!

hidden emotion

it's a lovely compostion, but there's just too much working against it. i'm afraid the out of focus doesn't work here, as it does not look purposeful; just off, not soft or selective. the lighting is a bit flat, with no real shadows or highlights.

just a thought on the focus - how are you saving for DPC? that may be the problem - check out the preparing images for DPC tutorial in the learning section.

shez, it's lovely. powerful, honest, well done image. i think you should reshoot it for the mornings challenge, maybe without your glasses. emotional images don't always get marked down - look at my desolation shot!

and, how could this displease anyone? a) it's a picture of a woman doing what she needs to do live, and b) it's a great shot.
