The bottom half of this image contributes nothing. You could easily crop half the image away with no loss of impact. Either use the space with foreground, or lose it.

I like this post processing, it takes the image to another level, but I'm sure you are walking a very thin line with the voters. Good luck, I hope it works out well.

Compositionally, I would have liked to see just a little more space to the left and right of the two guys, just giving them some extra space.

Beautiful detail in the feathers, thought its just gone off before the eye on the right. Possibly needs just one stop more to get that extra little depth of field.
