A few minutes before sunsetby PascalComment: When I first saw this I really liked it. Now I study it a little more closely for the top 10 placements I notice a few minor flaws which take it off the top spot. I would have liked the row-boat to be just a yard to so further into frame, they just need a little more space behind the boat. Similarly with the ship, I feel it needs to be slightly further into the frame to really set the contrast in size. Great work though.

The Conductorby ecameronComment: This is getting close to my top pick, but has a couple of flaws which just hold it back. First the skin on the cheeks seams a little plastic, maybe need to reduce the opacity of the post processing, and second the wording behind him needs to be symmetrically placed. Move him just 6 inches to the right of frame. Good work though.

Seal at Spurn Pointby SaraRComment: Spurn Point is one of my favourite places. For seals you can also try Donna Nook down on the Lincolnshire coast. I always try to get the camera down low when taking seals. Shots taken from eye level have more impact. Good attempt though.

Energy Drinkby DustDevilComment: The absolute rule with the water splash genre is to have a bright, sharp image. Unfortunately this image suffers from having neither. Try using 2 or maybe 3 flash units to get enough light to stop the action.

"To get the perfect shot-"by UrfaKComment: Using such a small depth of field has reall let this down badly. The muzzle is out, the sight is in and nothing else. Just doesn't work for me.

I'll just turn around hereby picklerComment: This fits the challenge admirably, but to me its simply a record shot. It could have been an insurance claim photo, there is little more in it than that.
