Determinationby DrAchooComment: The car, fence and person in the background is distracting, the highlights are blown out and the blacks are too deep. 3
Oh wait, this isn't a challenge and I don't have to find something worng with the picture. Sorry, I was in DPC Troll mode. Nice shot!!!

Standing Tall by NuzzerComment: Good show my friend. Flower shots are hard to get in the top around here. Awesome processing. |

Street Cafe Eavesdroppingby GreetmirComment: ---Greetings from the Critique Club!-----
First impression - The canvas effect probably is not helping your score.
These types of artictic effects rarely do well on DPC. The occasional Film Grain with a light touch can help, but can eaisly backfire.
You've captured a nice candid moment and the composition is good. I don't know if this is really "street" photography, per se. I didn't vote it down on that issue but some may.
Nice tones a colors. The blurred hand adds to the drama of the conversation.
To improve the score on this one I reccommend not using the canvas filter.
I hope this helps. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions. |

First impression - Good technicals, really good B&W conversion, trash bin pulls attention form the subjects.
This is really good Street Photography technique. The compelling part of the image IMO is his hand on her back. A real moment that doesn't looked staged.
The balance of the shot is a little heavy on the right, and this makes the trash can more of a distraction.
A tighter crop that eliminated the trash bin would also make the hand more of a key element in the composition. The challenge would be to leave enough of the surrounding area in order to keep the street feel.
All in all a really good effort. Any score above 6 is a good score in my book.
I hope this was helpful. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions. |
