First impression - Nice backlighting, but I wish I knew what this is.
Nice technique on the backlighting, really brings a glow to the object. I see a bit of reflection on the bottom. I wonder if the composition would improve if there was more of the reflection. Hard to tell.
From a DPC voter perspective, my guess is there isn't anything for the voter to focus on within the glass object. The dark background doesn't give us any context to understand the subject better. Understanding isn't always necessary, but it might help here.
Good execution, a more thoughtful attention to the setting probably would have pushed the score higher.
